The Imagining Sustainable Fashion Award is a worldwide competition for creatives, designers and developers.
The aim was to stand out with ideas promoting sustainable fashion, beyond the “green washing” paradigm. The problem is, a lot of data exists about the incalculable damage the fashion industry is doing to the environment, but it’s really hard to visualize it.
So we created a series of posters that seemed very abstract at first, but when looked upon with attention, told us a lot about the problem. Using an Illustrator plug-in we could calculate the percentage of every color in the image and we used it to represent a series of astonishing facts about the fashion industry. We can literally see the problem now.
